The goal of the Board is to educate physicians, physician assistants, radiologist assistants, and acupuncturists, as well as the general public with this website.
The Board's primary objective is to ensure the protection of the health, safety and welfare of Mississippians through implementation and enforcement of laws involving the licensing and regulation of physicians, podiatrists, physician assistants, radiology assistants and acupuncturists and through the objective enforcement of the Mississippi Medical Practice Act. | |

For those physicians practicing in collaborative relationships with APRN’s, please take note:
Implementation of the amendments adopted by the Board on March 21 to the rules pertaining to collaborative agreements with Advance Practice Registered Nurses is suspended until July 31, 2013, pursuant to an Agreed Order entered on April 23 in the Chancery Court of Hinds County, pending the outcome of litigation. The rules in effect prior to any such amendments remain in force and effect. |
