Roderick Givens, M.D.

Dr. Roderick Givens, a native of Saint Petersburg, Florida, has practiced medicine in Mississippi since 1996 and is from Natchez, Mississippi. He earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, and completed his residency in radiation oncology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. He is active in the Mississippi State Medical Association and is also a member of the American Medical Association.

Dr. Givens is the proud father of three children: his oldest daughter is a labor and delivery nurse, his other daughter is a pastry chef, and his youngest son recently graduated from college with a degree in marketing. Outside of his professional work, he enjoys traveling with his wife of 36 years, as well as scuba diving, tennis, golf, and fitness training.

He currently serves as Secretary of the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure, with his term running through June 30, 2026.
