Please be on the alert for suspicious communications allegedly sent by the Board. Multiple licensees have received fraudulent letters purporting to notify them that his or her medical license has been suspended due to federal criminal charges. The letters appear to be written on Board letterhead and include forgeries of the Executive Director's signature.

If you receive any suspicious or unusual communications that purport to be from the Board, please IMMEDIATELY REPORT the issue. For example, if any communication requests that you provide confidential or sensitive personal information, contact the board directly. You may do so by calling the Board at 601-987-3079 and asking for the Investigations Division, or by emailing a report to investigations@msbml.ms.gov.
