The following fees apply to licensing, renewals, verifications, and other services provided by MSBML. All fees are payable at the time of application or service request. No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.

License Reinstatement Fees
Under Mississippi Code §73-25-14, a physician, osteopath, podiatrist, or physician assistant whose license has lapsed must pay back fees for up to the previous five renewal years, plus the current year’s renewal fee, before the license can be reinstated.
The application fee is $250.00 and is non-refundable. The $250.00 application fee is credited toward the total amount due once the application is approved.
How Arrearages Are Calculated
For each lapsed year, the applicant owes:

A full year that went unrenewed totals $385.00 ($300 annual renewal + $25 late penalty + $60 for twelve months of delinquency fees).
Worked Example
Suppose a licensee’s license lapsed on July 1, 2021 (they failed to renew for the 2021–2022 renewal year). They submit a reinstatement application on April 1, 2026, partway through the 2025–2026 renewal year. Their back fees would cover the four prior full lapsed years plus the partial current year:

Incomplete Application Fee
A $50.00 fee will be assessed for each incomplete finding discovered, entered, and accounted for by MSBML staff during application review. Each separate incomplete finding incurs its own $50.00 fee.
