Late Renewal

Renewing after August 1

If a licensee needs to renew after August 1, he or she must submit a late renewal request through MELS (Mississippi Enforcement and Licensure System) with an explanation for the late renewal. Once received and approved by the Board, the licensee will be notified by email.

Late fines:

  • $25.00 base fine
  • Plus $5.00 for each month the license remains delinquent

If a licensee submits a late renewal request during the active renewal period, the licensee must renew the license for both the late renewal period and the current renewal period.

License Expired More Than One Year

Reinstatement required

If a license has been expired for more than one year, the licensee must submit an application for reinstatement rather than a renewal.
